How Much Longer Before Drew Can Leave the WWE?

Drew McIntyre's WWE deadline is coming soon. According to a new report from Fightful Select, "The Scottish Warrior" has not signed a new deal with the WWE. Fightful is also reporting that McIntyre's WWE deal will expire before WrestleMania which means McIntyre may be gone before 2024's "Showcase of the Immortals."

‍

Here's what Fightful Select is reporting so far:

Drew McIntyre has not signed a new contract with WWE. There had been some Twitter rumors indicating he had re-signed, but according to what he and WWE have told people, that’s not true.

If you've been following our daily YouTube news videos, you know that the WWE reportedly added time to McIntyre's contract due to time he was out of action due to injury. Despite previous rumors that Drew was locked in until WrestleMania 40, Fightful claims:

‍

Drew McIntyre is the first major domino that could fall in the TKO era of re-signing major talent to WWE deals. Drew McIntyre has less than five months left on his WWE deal, and it’s actually up ahead of next year’s WrestleMania.

Although no one is irreplacable in the WWE (and that applies to Roman Reigns too), Drew's absence would be felt. McIntyre has developed into one of the WWE's most capable performers. He's also earned a reputation as a clutch player who is willing to wrestle whether he's sick with the flu or dealing with nagging (or worse) injuries.

‍

While there has been speculation that the WWE won't put the World Championship on Drew unless he signs a new deal, several pundits have noted that the WWE still has plenty of time to take the belt off him (assuming he wins at Crown Jewel when he wrestles Seth Rollins).

Do you think Drew will stay in the WWE? Where would you like to see him wrestle?
