The Undertaker is always open and honest regarding his thoughts on the current WWE product, and the talent within the company, and one specific name he has always praised is Gunther.

The Deadman loves Gunther’s work, which is hardly a surprise, as The Undertaker has always loved top-tier workers such as Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart.

Gunther has since responded to The Deadman, and his response is clearly a mix of kayfabe and reality. Gunther even addressed how similar their styles are.

Gunther offered his response whilst speaking to Keith Whittier on the Witty Whittier podcast:

"I mean, that's great, obviously," he began. "Like you said, the feedback of the fans is what dictates our journey, how successful that's going to be, but I guess for every professional, it's always something else when it comes from up here or a colleague. It's nice to hear those nice things and I chat with him sometimes when we run into each other at a WrestleMania or something. The style he worked for his career, I think it's not that far off that he would be positive towards me because I think it's somewhat similar…”

Gunther is set to challenge the World Champion at SummerSlam in what will likely be one of the featured matches on the show.
