Yesterday, it was reported by BWE on Twitter/X that Drew McIntyre has re-signed with WWE.

However, according to numerous sources including PWInsider and Fightful Select, McIntyre is still yet to have re-signed with WWE.

This is a weird move from both sides, as McIntyre is one of the most featured stars across WWE programming, and he is set to be in a featured World Title match at WrestleMania XL against Seth Rollins.

With that being said, this isn’t anything too unique from WWE’s side. Daniel Bryan was given a WrestleMania main event before he left in 2021, and CM Punk was given a PPV main event when his contract was set to expire in 2011.
