Paul Promises Surprises for WWE Superstars

Logan Paul will appear more as United States Champion. That's straight from "The Maverick's" mouth. Paul spoke with ESPN's Marc Raimondi after his big win over Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel. Some fans have been concerned about Paul holding the U.S. title since his appearances on WWE TV have been limited. After all, the WWE already has one absentee champion on SmackDown. What will the WWE Universe think if the U.S. championship goes missing, much as the Undisputed Championship has over the last two years?

Fans need not worry. Raimondi noted Paul has been a part-timer until now, working "big money matches." He then asked Paul if he would be working more. Paul told him he would have to. He also said he planned to show up when and where he was least expected:

“You’re going to have to watch Raw, you’re going to have to watch SmackDown. 'm going to make some surprise appearances and show these wrestlers who is the real king,"

"The Maverick" compared his recent boxing fight against Dillon Danis with his U.S. title fight against Rey Mysterio. He also promised bigger things for his WWE career:

"[Boxing Danis] was cake. That was barely a performance. I wouldn't even call that a fight. [WWE Crown Jewel] was a fight. [WWE Crown Jewel] was harder. I'm winded. I feel like I really earned this. I see these comments online, 'Logan Paul is spoonfed, silver spoon in his mouth. Everything has been given to him his whole life, he hasn't earned it.' I work harder than your simple minds could even comprehend. I do more in 12 hours than most people do in 12 months. My blueprint cannot be duplicated. My pace is unmatched. I'm not playing the same game as other people. I've beaten the matrix and I'm the architect. Mark my words, this is just the beginning. This belt is just the beginning of me taking over WWE. I'm not here to take part. I'm here to take over."

H/T Fightful

Logan Paul doesn't lack confidence, a trait fans have often seen with wrestlers (particularly heels). At the same time, Paul does not lack talent or drive, which could lead to his promises coming true.

It will be interesting to see how Paul fares in the WWE if he truly is committed to working a more active schedule. There's a big difference between working one match every three months (or longer) and working several times a month. Will Paul be able to keep up with the schedule and the physical grind? If not, he may have to reconsider his wrestling style or even his very future in the squared circle. However, if Paul can adapt, he could become one of the WWE's top Superstars.

How do you think Logan Paul will do as United States Champion?
