AEW fans were in for a treat during Sting’s segment on Dynamite.

During the segment, Tony Schiavone reveals that AEW President Tony Khan got Sting a gift.

‍

The gift came in the form of a special appearance of the 16-time champion, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, who came to congratulate Sting on his Illustrious career.

‍

‍

The heartfelt moment was interrupted by Christian Cage and used to set up a match at Full Gear on Nov 18th in a 3-on-3 match.

‍

Sting & Ric Flair have been well-acquainted over the years, as they are good friends outside the ring.

‍

Their history of working together dates all the way back to 1987 when Ric Flair 1st met Sting in a singles match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Since then, the duo would have timeless matches in NWA, WCW, and minor feuds in TNA.
