Wes Lee cut a heartbreaking promo saying he’ll need surgery for his injury and doesn't know how long his recovery will be.

The details are unclear, but it was stated in the segment as back surgery.

The segment finished with Dominick Mysterio coming to the ring and cutting a promo on Wes Lee’s injury, stating that he will have a night off if that’s the case.

However, Wes revealed he will have an opponent. The titantron then showed Rey Mysterio on-screen to give the news that Dominik’s opponent will be Dragon Lee, who appeared at the NXT Performance Center.

This prompted a brawl between the two, with Dragon Lee coming out on top.

The news was tragic as Wes finally returned at the Halloween Havoc event in October and won the No.1 Contender Match last week to face Dominik at NXT Deadline.
