Could WWE change plans?

It’s been a crazy weekend to be a wrestling fan.

The backlash to The Rock ‘taking’ Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania spot has been severe. As things stand, the segment itself on WWE’s YouTube channel has over half a million dislikes (and this number is growing considerably).

PWInsider's Mike Johnson wrote yesterday that WWE has been "absolutely" monitoring the responses on social media, which of course implies that the negative feedback may influence a change.

When it comes to Rhodes, he is set for a Bull Rope match on RAW tonight against Shinsuke Nakamura, and as things stand, he is still expected to face Seth Rollins for the World Title at WrestleMania 40.

As always, we will keep you posted on the latest developments when it comes to this story.
